I do not jump at the idea of writing for a fee. I want to take care of my own business and interests—first and foremost. It's not an easy task to write programs or to design systems. It takes time, pain, and additional resources. The fee must be directly proportionate to the effort and worthiness of the project. I will not even consider writing a computer program, for anybody, for less than US $500. NO WAY! No single by-request-program for under US $500! If you request and I do not respond, it means I am not interested at all in your request. If I am interested in your project, I could reply with my terms. The terms will specify clearly the fee and the time frame. You may compare my terms with terms of other consultants-for-hire. Cheating will no longer work. I will not write the program (system) first, than wait for my paycheck! I will not be charmed any more, either. I am strictly against any form of close correspondence or relationship, unless I know well the person … personally! There have been attempts to download files from my computer via instant messaging. Worse, attempts to wipe out the hard drive of my PC! My POP email account (@saliu.com) was infected by a virus, despite my serious measures. My email forwarded malicious attachments to my contacts. Be forewarned that your message sent to saliu.com may not reach my computer—if you don't have my confirmation. My Web-based emails (isaliu@hotmail.com & ionsaliu_99@yahoo.com) may be safer. Still, it's not guaranteed I would open just about any message. The sender and the composition of the subject line are of the essence. I noticed a clear drop in the number of visitors to my website since LottoWin.htm was stripped down. I want larger numbers of visitors to my site not for business purposes. What I really want is to have as many people as possible make contact with my ideas. I want many people to get to know my philosophy. I noticed also that quite a few Netizens had already saved my Web pages to their hard drives. Besides, my free lottery software has been all over the Internet for a long time. The Roulette.htm page will not be back online with the free winning system. Inquire on how to get a glimpse of my systems and possibly how to get licensed. I suggest we restart counting the years beginning with 2000 as “0 W.E.”. That is “Year 0, Web Era”. Next year, 2001, should be named “1 WE”. Remember, “0” is the very beginning of any counting system. Everything starts with 0, not 1. I wonder why we mistreat 0! Nothing can exist without 0. Most things can function without 7, or 13, or two quadrillion…Zero is a wonderful number. We all should love 0… For those who are confused, the year 2000 represents 2000 years since the Roman emperor Octavian Augustus imposed this system of measuring the flow of time. I am not sure I'm joking. Wasn't Y2K supposed to be the end of the world? Well, then, let's start a new era! One goal of human civilization has always been to build the global village. Ever since the invention of the wheel, the humans pulled out all the stops to get closer to one another in space and time. The Internet is the most effective means to date. …And if you start a fire, keep fueling it… How do we define years before 0 WE, that is twentieth century and earlier? Easy. We can add WEB to the year. WEB = “Web Era, Before”. Thus, the year when the humans set foot on the Moon for the first time is defined as “1969 WEB” (1969 Before Web Era). How about years commonly defined as BC (Before Christ) or, more accurately, as BOE (Before Our Era)? Easy again. We add the minus sign (–) to the year, then the WEB designator. Thus, the year Socrates died becomes “–399 WEB”. The computers love to work with both + and – (minus)… This is really tricky, but “tricky” stimulates progress. How do we calculate a person's age, if the person was born WEB and lives in WE? Say, a person born in 1973 WEB and the current year is 18 WE? Easy, once more. Here is the formula, recommended to use it mentally only: Age = (2000 – YearWEB) + YearWE In the example, Age = (2000 – 1973) + 18 = 27 + 18 = 45 years. If a woman, congratulations! You reached the philosopher age as established by Plato! Updates to LotWon software. "MDIEditor and Lotto" is now version 1.3 WE. It superseded MDI version 8. It is the last freeware version of the application. Since it is free, you have nothing to lose checking it out. Among other things, the program is a great replacement for both Notepad and WordPad. After all, it works with an unlimited number of files of any size! Latest version: 1.3 WE, November 2003 - all features enabled and FREE! SuperPower is currently in version 10.99.02. The utilities for lotto-6 and pick3/4 games have been greatly enhanced. The biggest piece of news is the inclusion of my previously "secret" combinations generating programs for pick-3 and pick-4. Some people have been shocked that I really included those programs in a freeware package! Some hate me for that. (I had given some people unreleased versions of those programs!)
